How do I apply custom temporary tattoos?:
Applying your temporary tattoo is easy!

Clean the area where you will apply the tattoo with soap and water. Then, ensure the area is dry.

Remove the plastic protective film from your tattoo.

Hold your tattoo face down on the application area.

Wet a sponge or paper towel and hold it against the tattoo backing for 30 seconds, allowing the water to soak through the tattoo paper.

Remove the backing by sliding it away and gently rub the wet sponge over the applied tattoo for the best results.

How do I remove my custom temporary tattoo?:
We've tested various methods and found the following work best for removing your temporary tattoo
- Rubbing alcohol
- Hand sanitizer
- Baby oil or olive oil
- Scotch tape (although not recommended for thick or coarse hair)
We do not advise attempting to remove your tattoo with soap and water.
Can I put custom temporary tattoos on my face?:
Custom temporary tattoos can be applied to your face, however the eye and lip areas should be avoided.
What are the ingredients in custom temporary tattoos?:
Ingredients: Water, Glycerin, Di Propylene Glycol (DPG) Butoxytriglycol (BTG) May contain: Blue 1 (CI 42090), Red 28 (CI 45410), Yellow S (CI19140)
How long do custom temporary tattoos last?:
Custom temporary tattoos will stay on your skin for about 1-3 days. This may vary depending on where you apply your tattoos, as well as its exposure to oils or friction.
Can I make my custom temporary tattoo last longer?:
Yes! Here are some tips to help extend the life of your temporary tattoo:
- If you have thick or coarse hair, shave the area prior to applying.
- Exfoliate the skin for a smoother application.
- Use a cleansing wipe to remove excess dirt and oil from the skin.
- After applying your temporary tattoo, lightly dust baby powder on it to absorb any oils.
- Avoid using oils or lotion where your temporary tattoo has been applied.
Will my custom temporary tattoo come off in water?:
Allow your temporary tattoo to set before getting it wet. Once set, your tattoo should hold up great in the shower, pool, or while sweating. We recommend gently patting the area dry to help reduce friction.
Why doesn't my temporary tattoo look right after applying it?:
If your temp tattoo doesn't look right after application, it may be because:
- The application instructions weren't followed correctly.
- You have a unique skin type or chemistry.
- The skin had excessive dirt or oil on the application site.
- The tattoo did not set long enough before dressing or getting it wet.
Are custom temporary tattoos safe for children?:
Yes! Custom temporary tattoos are safe for children.
What if my skin has a reaction to custom temporary tattoos?:
If you're concerned about skin reactions, we recommend doing a test on a small patch of skin prior to applying a full temporary tattoo. Potential reactions are typically mild and involve some redness and/or itching and tend to go away within a few days. Do not apply temporary tattoos to sensitive or broken skin or if you're allergic to adhesive.
Will custom temporary tattoos stain my clothing?:
These temp tattoos should not stain your clothes as long as you allow them to set and dry prior to putting clothing over them. If ink does get on your clothing, it will come off easily during washing!
Can I layer one custom temporary tattoo over another?:
Yes, however, peeling the backing off a second temporary tattoo may cause the first tattoo to pull off the skin. If you're applying one tattoo over another, make sure you peel the backing off slowly to help prevent this.
Can I reapply a tattoo over the same spot if it starts to fade?:
For best results, we recommend waiting until your initial custom temporary tattoo has completely faded before applying another one over it.
How do I prevent my custom temporary tattoo from smudging?:
To help prevent your temp tattoo from smudging, we recommend:
- Cleaning your skin prior to application
- Use a light moisturizer 30 minutes before application.
- Don't reposition or reapply the tattoo.
- Avoid heat, water, and sweat while the tattoo is setting.
- Allow your tattoo to set for a full 30 seconds.
Can I permanently tattoo over my custom temporary tattoo?:
No. We do not recommend getting a permanent tattoo over your custom temporary tattoo.
How should I store custom temporary tattoos?:
To help preserve your custom temporary tattoos, store them in a dry place where they won’t rub against each other or other products.
Does the FDA approve custom temporary tattoos?:
No. The FDA does not “approve” any temporary tattoos. The FDA approves the color additives used in making temporary tattoo products. The color additives in our temporary tattoos are approved by the FDA.
Can I put custom temporary tattoos on items other than skin?:
Yes. Custom temporary tattoos can be applied to most plastic or glass items such as:
- Water bottles
- Vases
- Glass cups
- Ornaments
- Phone covers
- Book mark sleeves
Should I shave before applying custom temporary tattoos?:
If you have thick or coarse hair, we recommend shaving prior to applying your custom temporary tattoo. Shaving is not necessary, however, if you have fine hair.
Can I put custom temporary tattoos on after fake tanning?:
We don’t recommend applying your custom temporary tattoo directly before or after fake tanning, as the active ingredients in tanning solutions may react with your skin.
Can I put custom temporary tattoos over my scar or stretch marks?:
We don’t recommend applying temp tattoos to scars or stretch marks since the ink may settle into those areas. If this does occur, however, the ink will still fade over time.
Are custom temporary tattoos Prop 65 compliant?:
Custom temporary tattoos are Prop 65 compliant as all components forming the tattoo (e.g., ink, adhesive, paper) do not include Prop 65 regulated materials.
